2026 January Newsletter
“Praise should be the permanent pulsation of the soul.” G.K. Chesterton
All glory and praise to God for the many good gifts He continues to pour out on our school, our families, and our patrons. The past few months at CASJE have been filled with joy, meaningful moments, and abundant blessings.
Now that we have had a moment to catch our breath, we are delighted to share all of the GOOD NEWS with you. Since it has been some time since our last email newsletter, we invite you to journey with us as we recap the highlights of all that God has been doing at CASJE.
SCHOOL EVENTS and ACTIVITIES
OCTOBER
The Cross Country season was a joyful success! Coach Anderson guided her student athletes through a wonderful season marked by growth, perseverance, and fun. Every runner achieved a personal best time—an incredible accomplishment we are so proud of. We are already looking forward to welcoming even more runners next fall!
NOVEMBER
The one-act comedy play, The Script, premiered the weekend of November 7 & 8 and was a tremendous success. Thanks to the hard work and dedication from Mr. Bond, our students delivered outstanding performances both evenings, and Saturday night was completely sold out with standing room only! Thank you to everyone who supported our young actors. Be sure to watch for ticket sales in the fall for our next production (to be announced at the beginning of the next school year).
DECEMBER
The annual Advent Concert was held on Gaudete Sunday at Holy Comforter Church. Mr. Kirkland once again blessed the community with a beautiful and moving concert. The music lifted hearts and prepared us for the coming of Christ. A selection of hymns and concert videos can be found HERE.
GALA 2025 UPDATE
Together, on November 15, 2025, we celebrated the remarkable work God is accomplishing through Chesterton Academy of St. John the Evangelist. Your presence and partnership are deeply cherished, and it was truly a joy to share how the Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, and sustain the mission of CASJE.
The board members, faculty, and volunteers prayerfully prepared for the Gala with the hope that the evening would be both meaningful and inspiring for every guest. Through your generous patronage, CASJE was blessed with $395,000 in support, surpassing our evening goal of $350,000. The school is now significantly closer to meeting the $650,000 budgetary needs for the 2026–2027 academic year. These funds will allow CASJE to increase faculty and extend our reach to even more students and families in the year ahead.
Not only did we exceed the financial goal for the evening, but we also celebrated a significant increase in attendance as 240 patrons joined us.
Did you miss joining us at Gala 2025? There is still time to partner with us to provision next year.
End of Year 2025 Tax Letters
Tax letters will be sent no later than January 31, 2026 in an email in accordance with IRS requirements. If you do not receive the email, please feel free to reach out to Linda Kenny at 434-381-4284 or lkenny@chestertonsje.org, and she will be happy to send you a hard copy.
Looking Forward: Our Third Year
Applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis—thank you for helping us share the news with families!
Early bird admissions for our third academic year (2026–27) concluded on December 15. We currently have four students enrolled, with decisions pending from four additional students and their families. At this pace, we are well on track to meet—or even exceed—this year’s total enrollment. God is truly good, and we are thankful to see CASJE growing so beautifully.
We are sincerely thankful for your generosity, trust, and shared belief in CASJE. You remain in our prayers of thanksgiving as we continue our mission of forming young men and women of virtue who excel academically and are rooted firmly in the Catholic faith.
In Christ,
The CASJE Team
